About The Foundation
Victory Garden Crockett Foundation was established in 1982 to honor the memory of Jim Crockett and his devotion to agriculture. The organization’s mission is to support education and training for individuals engaged in or entering the agricultural field. It was founded by alumni of the Alpha Tau Gamma Fraternity at the University of Massachusetts Stockbridge School of Agriculture. The Crockett Foundation supports the practical teaching and training of agricultural activities by providing grants to qualified organizations engaged in agricultural practice.
Funds raised by the Victory Garden Crockett Foundation are used to support and sustain agriculture-related nonprofits in the northeast and continue to build on the vision of Jim Crockett. The Victory Garden Crockett Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and all monetary donations are fully tax-deductible.
Previous grantees include 4H Clubs, high schools, universities, the Massachusetts Future Farmers of America. Crockett Foundation grants provide funding that allows organizations to develop and grow innovative and new agricultural methods, supports ongoing projects that provide food to foodbanks, and nurture a new generation of individuals interested in agriculture.
